Ancient Tomb Robbing ...

The Egyptian Abbot Papyrus, now in the British Museum, is a written source for tomb robbing in antiquity. And now the excavations of the 4th century BC Tholos Mausoleum at Cnidos have provided archaeological evidence for it having been looted in the Roman period.

Incidentally, round buildings in the pre-Roman period were very rare, so this is an interesting example to add to the just over a dozen Greek tholoi known (the Ptolemaion at Limyra might loose it's upper tholos in a new reconstruction ...).
