The Battle of Munda

Perhaps not the most famous military action by any stretch of the imagination, this Spanish rout has the distinction of being Julius Caesar's last battle - ever. This victory on the 17th March 45 BC led to him being appointed dictator, which in turn led to his assassination less than a year later (15th March 44 BC).
