Myra Theatre: the Mask Frieze

The theatre in Myra was badly damaged by the earthquake of 141, and largely rebuilt. Although one can often make out the work of distinctly different hands in a frieze carved during the same period by craftsmen, it's rare to have variations as great as on this frieze; this suggests a Late Antique restoration, particularly noticeable in the second to last photo.
