Drawing Faces

The Artemidorus Papyrus was discarded by the copyist, and then re-used for sketches. Ancient drawings are lost to us - as Mary Beard pointed out, we only have second rate copies of paintings from Pompeii - so these were a startling revelation.
Drawings can be difficult to appreciate in photographs, so I have included several versions, in both color and black and white.
